An East County family down on its luck is looking for help.
Tim Booz, battling stage-4 bone cancer in his ribs and other tumors, lost his wallet at the Ranch Lake Plaza Sweetbay the night of Dec. 13. The wallet contains his family’s ATM cards, IDs, Medicaid cards, food stamps and other medical insurance cards needed for his cancer treatments.
“Sweetbay has a red shopping cart that looks like a car,” Tim Booz said. “My daughter likes riding that, and we think what happened is that the wallet got left in that cart.”
The family checked with Sweetbay and scoured the parking lot and trash bins but did not find the brown leather wallet, which is about 8 inches long and 4 inches wide, Booz said.
The Booz family is asking for its return, no questions asked. Contact Tim Booz at 219-6071 with information.
