Students at Lakewood Ranch are showing their holiday spirit.

Through the Student Government Association’s promotion of the Angel Tree project, Lakewood students collected gifts for about 170 children.

The 36-member SGA class packaged gifts Tuesday morning for the Salvation Army, which is slated to pick the presents up Dec. 10.

“Every year the students here at Lakewood Ranch really step up and provide a nice Christmas for other kids who don’t have the opportunity to have gifts provided by their families,” SGA sponsor Kent Ringquist said.
