Kindergarten students from the Lakewood Ranch area performed chores to earn small amounts of money to help the less fortunate. Then, they used their earnings to purchase goods for needy families, and also collected items for the cause.
The proud kindergarten students unloaded their food purchases Nov. 21 and donated them to Community Coalition on Homelessness for Manatee County. The children donated more than 500 items of food, in total.
