Braden River Elementary students, parents and staff are using their trick-or-treating loot to show love for troops stationed overseas.
The troops overseas share candy treats with the children in the country where they are stationed.
The donated candy will be shipped to Capt. Tom Albrecht, husband of PTO President Tia Albrecht, who is deployed in Qatar, and Capt. Bradley Denisar, kindergarten teacher Diana Denisar’s son deployed in Afghanistan.
BRE donated more than 750 pounds of candy to our troops in 2007 and hopes to donate at least 1,000 pounds this year.
