Eight players from Braden River High School’s varsity girls team headed Sept. 26, to Freedom Elementary School, where they shared their favorite childhood books with kindergarten students.
The girls took turns reading stories to children in six classrooms.
“I thought it was a great experience,” team Co-Capt. Jenny Linde said. “It’s cool to represent our team.”
Teammate Carley Engelberger agreed.
“I think it’s great to have them see high school students sharing their favorite books with them,” she said. “I still remember college and high school kids coming into classrooms when I (was their age).”
