University Park Country Club and Fit2Run will host the second 9/11 4-Miler Cross Country Run at 7:30 a.m., Sept. 11, at University Park Country Club.
Cost is $25. Money raised will benefit the 9/11 Fireman’s Emergency Services Memorial Fund, which assists to families of an emergency worker who was killed or suffered a serious injury in the line of duty.
All children participants will receive a commemorative medal, and all participants will receive a T-shirt.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
