More than 120 members of the local Jewish community gathered July 17 at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall for a wine-tasting outreach party.
Sponsored by Temple Emanu-El, ORT-America, Jewish Family and Children’s Service, AJC, and the Jewish Genealogical Society, the festive event was held July 17 at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall. Attendees enjoyed socializing, hors d’oeuvres and sampling three wines from various regions of Israel.
The evening concluded with a musical havdalah service led by Temple Emanu-El Rabbi Brenner J. Glickman that marked the end of the Sabbath and the beginning of the new week.
The party was chaired by Lakewood Ranch resident Lynn Sacks. Event committee members included Nancy Alpher, Rabbis Brenner and Elaine Glickman, Brian Lipton, Kim Sheintal and Judilee Sterne.
