Welcome to the family business, Rhys.
Rhys Humphreys Parry, son of Observer Associate Publisher Emily Walsh Parry and her husband, Julian Parry, didn’t lose a minute of sleep before promoting The Longboat Observer (sorry, Rhys … you’re not eligible for the annual photo contest).
The first grandchild of Observer publishers Matt and Lisa Walsh and first great-grandchild of Observer Chairman David and Ruth Beliles was born at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. His paternal grandparents are Laurence and Valerie Parry, of Siesta Key.
