More than 200 Temple Emanu-El members and religious school families gathered last month at the temple for a special worship service recognizing the school’s outstanding instructors.
East County residents being honored at the event included Sabrina Silverberg, Monica Caldwell, Flora Cohen, Jennifer Goldstein, Jodie and Marylyn Meyers and Rebecca Zion.
Silverberg, the director of religious education, and fellow East County resident Kala Sheckler, Temple Emanu-El’s vice president of education, spoke at the ceremony.
