Well, for a few months, anyway ...
If you see a new face armed with a camera and a notebook around town, it’s probably Out-of-Door Academy senior Vanessa Moody.
Last week, Vanessa completed her first week interning at The East County Observer as part of her ODA coursework. We threw her into the fire, giving her several assignments for both the print edition and YourObserver.com. Needless to say, the Stanford-bound senior passed our test with ease.
Vanessa first began working with The Observer Group as one of our bloggers. She will continue working at The East County Observer throughout the summer. So, if you see her out and about, make sure you say “Hello.”

Rabbi Brenner Glickman, of Temple Emanu'El, and his wife, Elaine, shared an afternoon of discussion of world events and snacking on Hamantashen — triangular cookies, eaten on the Jewish holiday Purim — during the Lunch with the Rabbi event March 11. More than 20 members of the Jewish community converged at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall to spend time with Glickman.
