Fathers at Gene Witt Elementary rolled up their sleeves for a weekend of hard work for the school, as they launched a 48-hour extreme makeover of the school’s media center.
The center was transformed to include themed areas for both younger and older readers, as well as a “Harry Potter”-themed castle courtyard, complete with a floor-to-ceiling tree and park benches.
The $8,000 project was funded primarily through Parent-Teacher Organization fundraisers. Dads in Witt’s Father’s Being Involved program completed the work.
