Members of the Tara Golf & Country Club celebrated their 17th year helping children with life-threatening illnesses.
The Give Kids the World Annual Charity Tournament, held April 14, raised more than $27,000, bringing the tournament’s cumulative total to more than $400,000 raised.
This year’s event was held in memory of longtime Tara resident Larry Coffee, who served as the Give Kids Committee chairman for more than a decade. Coffee died in February and the committee wanted to honor his hard work and dedication to “the kids.”
