Nolan Middle School students may not have come home grand champions from the world VEX Robotics competition last week, in California, but they took home top honors.

Technology teacher Maureen Hudson earned the honor of VEX Teacher of the Year.

Her students also placed 26th of 120 teams in the VEX IQ contest and 40th out of 180 teams in VEX Robotics.

Nolan students also earned accolades for best Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) research project, the VEX IQ Design Award and the Design Award for all middle school divisions.
