Congratulations to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center volunteer Paul Kincade, who was named the hospital’s Volunteer of the Year last week.
Kincade began donating his time to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center shortly after the facility opened in 2004.
Kincade started as a transporter where he helped patients move from one place to another. These days, he works as a patient advocate. Kincade’s ability to communicate well with patients resulted in him becoming the first volunteer to hold the title.
Kincade says volunteering at the hospital is his way of giving back to the community, and he hopes to continue doing so for many more years to come.
As for his honor, Kincade said, “I really believe that every volunteer that is here is a Volunteer of the Year.”
If you’d like to join the volunteers at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center or take part in the high school volunteer program, Volunteens, please contact Joann Dillon at 782-2127.
