+ Superintendent hosts movie nights
Manatee County School District’s superintendent has made transparency a primary focus of his tenure.
This school year, he even hosted “Soup with the Supe” events, at which members of the community joined him at a restaurant to eat lunch and hear about the latest district happenings.
This summer, the superintendent will extend his open-door policy when he hosts bi-weekly movie nights at his home for parents and students.
A diehard fan of Denzel Washington, the superintendent said he is willing to show Disney films if students and parents bring snacks to the events, which begin the first Saturday in June.
“I just ask that the snacks be nutritional,” the superintendent said.
Hopefully you made it to the end of the article, so we can say, Happy April Fools' Day! This story is not true.
