APRIL FOOLS — If you see Rex Jensen sporting some bright new jewelry, don’t poke fun. Those necklaces, bracelets and anklets actually are part of the Schroeder-Manatee Ranch president and CEO’s new health regimen.
Jensen, on the advice of his doctors, will be beading two days a week at his wife’s shop, Knot Awl Beads. Doctors said the hobby should help alleviate some of Jensen’s stress following a tumultuous few months at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall and the community’s homeowner’s associations.
So far, Jensen says he is enjoying the new creative outlet and prefers glass beads to shells or other materials.
