Two Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton students received top honors at the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association’s 107th annual conference Feb. 18-21 in Ft. Lauderdale.
Third-year medical students Fatima Imtiaz and Brent Stottman were the recipients of $5,000 scholarships from the Osteopathic and Podiatric Foundation of Florida Hospital East Orlando.
Both students are completing core rotations at the hospital.
Second-year students Jamie Melichar and Jeremy Bigham also were honored.
Melichar received a plaque and $500 scholarship for her service as vice president of the FOMA student district society and the Foundations of the Osteopathic Profession. Bigham was awarded the Advocates for FOMA $500 scholarship.
