Two teachers at Braden River Elementary recently received grants.
Music teacher Dr. David Katz was awarded a field trip grant from the Target Corporation. The grant will be used to take third-graders on a all-expenses paid trip to see “The Mystical Arts of Tibet” April 23 at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
Fourth-grade teacher Sue Curry was awarded a Cash for Classroom Grant sponsored by the Manatee Education Foundation. With the grant award, Curry was able to purchase an electronic microscope that will be used in studying earth and life science.
