The University Park Country Club Ladies Club Golf Association recently donated $2,050 to Sarasota Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, known as SPARCC.
Jessica Hays, the organization’s director of community awareness, accepted the donation from LGA Hospitality Chair Barbara Romig, 9-Hole LGA member Carolyn Kluding and LGA President Judy Leto.
The LGA’s autumn charity recipient, with the associated support of the 9-Hole LGA, will use the money to purchase both a refrigerator and a freezer for a home that provides food and refuge to an average of 30 women and children daily.
