Primrose grads celebrate milestone

Family and friends gathered June 6 at Primrose School at Lakewood Ranch Town Center to watch more than 50 4- and 5-year-olds graduate from the private pre-kindergarten/kindergarten program. Donning pint-sized caps and gowns, the graduates entertained the crowd with their rendition of "This Land is Your Land" and poetry recitations.

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton held its second commencement ceremony June 7 at the Manatee Civic and Convention Center in Palmetto. The 161-member Class of 2009 received the doctor of osteopathic medicine degree.
Gullett celebrates Class of 2009

The cafeteria at Gullett Elementary School was decorated with silver and black balloons and stars June 3 in honor of the school’s graduating fifth grade class. Gullett administrators and staff celebrated student achievement, including perfect attendance, honor roll, safety patrol and other accomplishments, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., during the Fifth Grade Recognition Ceremony.
