NBA referee and East County author Bob Delaney will be at Bayshore Elementary School Sept. 1 to welcome the newest members to the school’s Bob Delaney Leadership Academy.
The academy serves to foster leadership qualities in fifth-grade students at the school.
During the 9:30 a.m. visit, Delaney and his wife, Billie, are expected to dedicate a pair of display cases they donated, one of which olds souvenirs and artifacts from Delaney’s career and travels. The other case will display outstanding student work, awards and trophies.
