Bradenton Gladiators to give away free school supplies

The Bradenton Gladiators will give away Gladiators School Packs to elementary and middle school children at 12 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Police Athletic League front office, 202 13th Ave. E., Bradenton.
The backpacks will be filled with school necessities, such as paper, pencils, crayons, notebooks, composition journals and more. The packs will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.
“Our goal is to positively enhance and develop our community,” Gladiators President Edrick Sweeting said. “To do so it has to start with education.”

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
