Parents of children in Manatee County Public Schools now have a convenient way to get back-to-school information.
The school district this morning launched a special parent information phone line will be available for parents. The line will give them one central, easily accessible avenue to answer questions about registration, school zones, bus stop locations and times, home education and any other questions they may have.
The phone number is 708-4971.
The line will be operations from 8 a.m to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Aug. 10-26.
Students are scheduled to begin classes Aug. 24.

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
