As the East County prepares to celebrate Mother's Day this weekend, the East County Observer took a few minutes to speak with children in Lakewood Ranch High School's Mini Mustangs voluntary pre-kindergarten program to find out what they thought about their own moms.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
