- Throwing sponges at their teachers? Really? How are teachers going to demand the respect and pay they deserve with that kind of behavior not only allowed but encouraged and cheered on. Shame on the administration for allowing it and shame on the teachers for accepting this as a reasonable reward for their students. Since when did teachers become the target, both literally and figuratively in this case, for such a show of disrespect for them personally and professionally?

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
