The Braden River Elementary cafeteria staff put together a special rock star menu for the event. -
Shirley Ridenour and her daughters Emily, 8 and Katie, 11, and Brelynn Myers, 9, and her mom Christy made sure to grab a dreamsicle after lunch. -
Fourth-graders Malory Wilson, Heaven Bazo, Maddison Spencer, Abigail Widunas and Aracely Alcantar had a blast listening to the music. -
Joe Gennocro enjoyed eating lunch with his daughter Julia, who is in fifth-grade. -
Fourth-graders Leianna Shepard and Taylor Ferber had fun dancing to the rock and roll music. -
Gracie Dunn, Meghan Corbran, Cameron Schilson, Quinn McNulty and Mario DiMaio thoroughly enjoyed Cafeteria Rock Star Day. -
Cynthia Swales spent the afternoon with her 9-year-old daughter Kyla, left, and 5-year-old son Gavin and her daughter’s friend Gianna D’Alessio, 9. -
Melissa Graham, Juliana Suarez, 12, Mikayla Linzy, 10, and Alicia Manning enjoyed the day. -
The Guitar Center’s Jimi Gee entertained students on the guitar.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
