This morning, Foundations Academy and The Tabernacle Christian School celebrated the winter season with snow days.
Students enjoyed sledding, Sno-cones and other snow-themed treats and activities during each school's respective snow day event.
The winter celebration continues tonight, as Church of Hope hosts its second annual Snow Slide event. The family gathering, which costs $15 a person and is open to the public, includes a 3-ton snow slide, campfire cookout, coffee and cocoa bar, wintertime hayride and more. Festivities run 6 to 9 p.m. at the church, 1560 Wendell Kent Road, just off I-75 and Fruitville Road.
