East County church, The Source Church, today will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new City Reach Thrift Store.
The event, which is open to the public, will be held at 11 a.m., at the Sarasota/Bradenton International Convention Center, where the new 25,000-square foot thrift shop is located.
The store will help the church raise money for its City Reach program, which provides food and clothing and other resources to the community.
"We want to somehow be a part of helping the Bradenton/Sarasota community and are very excited to be a part of this opportunity," says baseball legend Darryl Strawberry, who will be attending the event.
The thrift shop is located at 8005 15th Street East, Sarasota. For more information, visit www.cityreach.me.
