The Loving Stitches Ministry of Our Lady of the Angles Catholic Community has been keeping their fingers busy.
The ladies meet once a week to make quilts, blankets, baby sweater sets, scarves, hats and prayer shawls, among other items for organizations such as the Healthy Start Coalition, Manatee Memorial Hospital’s nursery, hospice, local cancer treatment centers, among others.
The group recently presented Corky Arkovic, assistant coordinator for the Linus Project, with blankets for children who are victims of domestic violence or have a life-threatening illness or other needs for a security blanket.
