- It's a shame when some of our county employees feel that their need is greater than others. Do they have any empathy for their county employers who have lost their homes and jobs? Do they empathize that the rest of the county employees have less than they? I don't think so, this is another example of I'll get mine no matter what.
- I am the Vice President of Tea Party Manatee, and we are very upset that Sheriff Steube hasn't gotten the message: "STOP SPENDING and START CUTTING". As every Dept. of County Government cuts back due to the hard economic times, Steube demands a $4 Million increase!!!
Our County Commissioners understand that hard choices in spending need to be made yet Steube wants to build his Empire on the backs of every other Govt. Dept. and the Taxpayers He did the same thing last year.
Taxpayers need to call the County Commissioners to tell them that the Sheriff needs to get the message loud and clear this time: "STOP SPENDING and START CUTTING".
