- Right on Rod! It's clear that we should reward Teacher Performance and not Seniority. It's the Teacher, not the class size or amount we spend per pupil.
- Once again, a great editorial. How the public can be duped so badly and for so long about teachers and education boggles the mind. All of this of course is perpetuated and reinforced by the left wing leaning press. Privatize education--the ultimate solution, along with making teachers compete to keep their jobs. Unions and tenure be gone!

MTI hosts 9/11 blood drive
As the nation remembers the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Manatee Technical Institute will commemorate the tragedy with a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and Sept. 11, at its main campus, 6305 State Road 70 East, in front of Braden River High Schol.
