A small 2010 Air-Cam twin engine “Ultra-light” kit airplane made an emergency landing around noon Sunday, Dec. 9 in the undeveloped lands of the Hunter's Creek subdivision of Sarasota.
The plane was piloted by 69-year-old sarasota resident Henry Hinman. The cause of the emergency landing in still unknown.
There were no injuries, but a few power lines were knocked down during landing. A Florida Power & Light reponse team removed the wires and restored the outage.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the issue. Anyone with information can call the administration at 1-407-812-7700
