Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for clues in the East County latest rash of car burglaries.
According to sheriff's office reports, between 9 p.m., Sept. 2, and 6:45 a.m., Sept. 4, unknown person(s) burglarized no less than five vehicles in University Park and University Place. Four vehicles were cars. Three of the four each had forced entry by breaking a window. The fourth car was left unlocked. The fifth vehicle was a pickup truck. Entry was forced to the truck by breaking the rear window.
All five vehicles had a GPS unit stolen. Other items stolen include a laptop, camera and a purse. All vehicles were processed.
