A Lakewood Ranch man was arrested and charged with multiple drug-related charges after being pulled over by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper yesterday afternoon.
At about 4:24 p.m., July 30, Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Richard Moore pulled over Robert C. Martin on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, just south of State Road 70, a Florida Highway Patrol release states.
As more interviewed the driver, he detected a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed a pound of marijuana and $4,450 in cash, the report states.
Moore seized the contraband and the defendant’s vehicle.
Martin has been charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and miscellaneous traffic charges.
