Manatee County Sheriff's Office detectives have arrested an East County tennis pro for child pornoraphy.
According to sheriff's office reports, Donald Kristen Gagnon, aka Kris Gannon, 59, brought his computer to an East County repair shop at about 1 p.m., July 21. According to the owner of the shop, Gagnon's Dell Inspiron laptop contained images that depicted teenage boys posing nude as well as in underwear. The images were located in a folder titled "students" in the "My Pictures" folder on the hard drive, the report said.
The repair shop contacted law enforcement. Det. Todd Sellitto responded, seized the computer and obtained a warrant. After an extensive forensic examination of the computer, there were thousands of images of child erotica depicting young boys posing in their underwear and multiple images of children either performing and or posing in sexually explicit activities. Information obtained during the examination suggests that there may be children who could have been or are being exploited and or victimized.
Gagnon, the tennis pro and owner of Creekside Tennis Academy, was arrested at 8 p.m., July 27, on multiple charges of child pornography. He is being held on $45,000 bond.
Anyone with information regarding incidents relating to Gagnon should contact Det. Todd Sellitto, 747-3011, Ext. 1909.
