An elderly Palm-Aire man is home after being reported missing to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office June 21.
Samuel Soll, 90, had been missing for about 55 minutes before deputies arrived to the home in the 4800 block of Palm-Aire Drive. Deputies began canvassing the area with the help of two volunteers with Project Life Saver.
Soll was wearing a tracking device from Project Life Saver because of his dementia.
Soll was located within about an hour in the 4600 block of Tournament Drive with the help of a transponder unit operated by one of the volunteers. He had lain down at the front door of a vacant residence and was hidden from view from shrubbery.
Emergency Medical Services responded as a precautionary measure at the family’s request
