Sixteen Hands Horse Sanctuary will feature a plethora of family fun this weekend at its second BBQ fundraiser.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, at the sanctuary, 6275 Wauchula Road. Admission is free.
The fundraiser will feature carriage rides, an exotic reptile and bird show, silent auction, raffle, bounce house and, or course, a barbecue feast. Kelly Hall, a Natural Balance hoof trimmer, will offer a trim demonstration.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
