MANATEE COUNTY — Manatee County government will accept applications through June 26 for a recently vacated seat on Manatee County Planning Commission due to a member relocating outside of Manatee County.
The planning commission makes recommendations to Manatee County Board of County Commissioners regarding proposed development while helping to interpret Manatee County’s Land Development Code.
The group meets at 9 a.m. the second Thursday of each month, or as needed, in the first-floor chambers of the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W.
No particular expertise is required to apply, but those with experience or training in planning, engineering, environmental science and the development industry will be given strong consideration.
