Denise Drizos, aka The Mommy Consultant, is capable of handling baby needs from setting up registration for a baby shower and picking out toys to organizing a feeding schedule and hiring a nanny.
Whatever a new mother needs, Drizos has an answer.
“After I had my first baby, Nicolas, I was terrified," she said. "It’s a scary process.”
After her second child, though, she realized that everything was much easier than she thought. She spent a lot of time helping friends out with new babies when she discovered that her knowledge and resources as a nurse and a mother of two could be useful to mothers who feel as lost as she once did.
“There’s really a need for this,” she said.
After doing some research, Denise even discovered the National Baby Planners Association.
“We just don’t have anything like that here," Drizos said.
The best time to contact her is likely around the time that a mother feels comfortable telling her friends and family about her pregnancy because Drizos’ business is of use to mothers both during and after the pregnancy.
“When you get pregnant, people start shooting information at you," she said. "It’s all well-meaning, but people get a lot of misinformation. There are so many products to weed through, so many safety concerns.”
Because of Denise’s business model, The Mommy Consultant is an affordable option for “everyone from the working family to the affluent.” She provides a free consultation to see which of her services are useful and can build customized individual packages for each mother.
“I’m open to anything,” she said. “If you need it, I’ll help you.”
