The fundraising event for The Wellness Community's Building Home campaign scheduled for tonight in Lakewood Ranch has been canceled.
The event, to be presented by John Swart, Alfred Rose and Jay Lockaby, was to raise money to assist in TWC's plan to sell its Sarasota building and move into a new "green" building this summer.
The organization is about $40,000 short of the cash-on-hand requirement it needs to meet to secure a bond to begin construction. T
Anyone wishing to donate to Building Hope should send a check to: The Wellness Community, 3900 Clark Road, Suite P-3, Sarasota, FL 34233.
