Manatee County Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for a man they believe robbed an East County First Bank this morning.
According to sheriff’s office reports, at about 10:55 a.m., deputies responded to a bank robbery at First Bank located at 3005 53rd Ave. E. According to witnesses, the suspect entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was armed with a handgun. However, there were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male, possibly in his 50s, 5-foot-10, 225-250 pounds, grey hair and a day-old beard. He was wearing blue overalls, a light-colored baseball cap and a light blue bandana partially covering his face.
