Sarasota and Manatee County officials, among others, soon will gather to celebrate the opening of the North Cattlemen Road extension.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will mark the road's opening to the public, will be held at 10 a.m. May 24.
The opening will make Cattlemen Road a complete north-south connector between Fruitville Road and University Parkway.
