CLASSROOM SPOTLIGHT: Tara Elementary

Fifth-grade students at Tara Elementary School learned how to perform CPR April 15. The East County Observer caught up with a few students afterwards to ask them what all they learned.

What did you enjoy the most about learning CPR?

“The breathing part because you’re getting air into them other than just doing compressions.”

What’s the hardest part about learning CPR?

“Doing the compressions.”

What’s the most important thing you learned about CPR?

“You have to do it when a victim is not breathing.”

“That delivering CPR can actually save someone’s life.”

What’s the hardest part about learning CPR?

“The breathing because you’ve got to breath hard so the person gets air.”
