The East County community today will gather to remember Roger Hill, a leader in the local agricultural community and longtime employee of Lakewood Ranch-developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch.
Hill, 68, died March 1. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:30 p.m. tonight, at Bayside Community Church, 15800 State Road 64 E., Bradenton.
“We all have heavy hearts,” SMR’s Chief Financial Officer Tony Chiofalo said. “He was involved in every part of this company. I really believe the way he conducted himself, with such kindness and professionalism — and the fact he cared about everything he did — really rubbed off on (everyone) in this company.
