Manatee County will close lanes on State Road 70 Wednesday and Thursday nights as it performs utility work.
The right and center lanes of State Road 70 westbound, at 45th Street E. (Lockwood Ridge Road) will be closed from 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 to 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 and from 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 to 5:30 a.m. Jan. 25.
The left lane of State Road 70 will remain open to traffic and no detour is required. The work has been scheduled overnight to minimize traffic congestion.
Bill Elmore, superintendent of sewer collections for Manatee County Utilities, said the county is fixing a leak and adding a liner to a pipe under the road.
