The Sarasota Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS recently recognized Lakewood Ranch-based Realtor Michelle Crabtree as the 2009 Business Women of the Year.
The annual award recognizes a REALTOR member who exercises their potential as an entrepreneur and a real estate industry leader and shares her time and talents with other professionals.
Crabtree, an agent with Michael Saunders & Co., has been a licensed real estate broker since 1981 and is a third generation Sarasotan. She is a director on the Sarasota Board of Realtors and won that organization’s “Meritorious Service Award” in 2007, when she also served as chapter presidents of the Sarasota Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors.
Additionally, the council this month installed new officers for 2010. They include: Karen Grant of RE/MAX Tropical Sands, president; Cindy Jackson of Exit Realty Signature Properties, president-elect; Marianne LeBar of Michael Saunders & Co., vice president of membership; Sharyl Smith of The Bank of Commerce, treasurer; Leslie Lauritano of Regions Mortgage, recording secretary; and Melia Favorite of American Family Financial, corresponding secretary.
