Ikebana International, Sarasota held its annual holiday luncheon at the club Dec. 7.
More than 90 members enjoyed a demonstration of Ikebana — the art of Japanese flower arrangement — led by Dr. Bansho Ricardo Carrasco, headmaster of the Banmi Shofu Ryu School of Ikebana.
Ikenbana International, an organization dedicated to building “Friendship through flowers,” was founded in 1956. Sarasota Chapter #115 of Ikebana International celebrates its 42nd anniversary this year.
