Manatee Glens hosts open house for rape crisis program

The Junior League of Manatee County will showcase its remodeling efforts for the Manatee Glens Rape Crisis Program building during a special event tomorrow.
The open house will be held from 4:30-6 p.m., Dec. 3, at the building, 383 Sixth Ave. W., Bradenton. Dress is business casual, and appetizers and drinks will be served.
The remodel includes painted and tiled client areas and bathrooms, new furniture, curtains for the lobby windows, new bathroom faucets and other improvements.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
