WEEKEND BEST BET: Horseshoe Cove Craft Fair

Residents of the Horseshoe Cove community will showcase their talents this weekend, during the mobile home park's annual Christmas/Fine Arts Crafts Sale.
Vendors have been busy getting ready. Here's what they have planned:
Dozens of vendors will be on site selling fine art, Christmas wreaths, pottery and more. Coffee and homemade coffee cake also will be available.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 1, at Horseshoe Cove, 5100 60th Street East (Caruso Road).

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
