Members of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance dished out pulled pork and chicken barbecue sandwiches during the first Car BQ fundraising event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Sarasota Polo Club.
Event co-chair Bobbi Larson said the organization sold about 800 lunches, with about half delivered to businesses as employee lunches.
Boxed lunches were provided by The Polo Grill and Bar.
